The director wanted the poster to display symbols of the play (such as the sea, a ship, sticks, spoons, a fan, a cop’s hat or a figure of a cop, a cap), but at the same time to preserve the imagery: “It’s just cool if you remove the title from the poster, but it will still be clear what kind of performance it is.”
